AFN set targets

The Nkoyo Ibori U-20 Athletics championship is billed for the E J Usiene stadium in Calabar from 29 June- 2 July, Nigeriasports.com can report.

And for the first time in the history of the competition, the physically challenged (disabled) athletes will join both their male and female athletes for the three days tourney.

According to the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN) the scope of the competition is to discover new and budding athletes for the country.

It will also afford the body another opportunity of picking athletes and encouraging the upcoming stars.

The tourney is sponsored by the first lady of Delta state, Mrs Ibori.
