Enyimba set to Sign-up Yugoslav Players

The Yugogoslav Pros
Enyimba FC of Aba is set to make yet another record first, by signing three professional players from Yugoslavia to boost the club's squad. Chairman of the Aba based Club Mr Felix Anyansi told Nigeriasports.com

"We are signing three top professionals from yugoslavia. They have been in the country for the past 3 weeks for trials, and I can assure you they are good quality players. We are doing our best to formalize their employment as well as their transfer certificates. As soon as that is done, they will be playing with us full time, it’s not a matter of their skin. We are a professional club"

The Chairman  also debunked news reports that coach Michael Urukalo has abandoned his contract with the Club midstream. Speaking  exclusively to Nigeriasports.com  he said "the coach has not abandoned the club, Journalists must always verify their facts before publishing anything, there is no point in creating unnecessary sensationalism just to sell their papers. When in doubt please verify your facts, this type of publications leaves a lot to be desired. It causes distractions and put people or organizations in  problem, he fumed angrily.

“As far as we are concerned coach Urukalo was duly permitted to travel to Australia where his family resides. It was a matter of life and death that is why we had to let him go irrespective of the crucial match that we had with Angola’s-Petro Athletico. Coach Urukalo is here to stay, we checked his credential before  employing him.

On what to expect in their 2nd leg encounter in Launda Angola with Petro Athletico, Chairman Felix said, “We ‘ll beat Petro-Athletico at their home tuff, contrary to expectations. We will make history. My boys held a meeting without the officials and decided that Angola problem will be solved once and for all. The Boys know that the team’s reputation is at stake. Their psyche is made up. Its fight to finish, we need good criticisms and encouragement as well as victory so that Enyimba will excel. God will see us

The 3 foreign players  were first  sited at the Enyimba vs Julius Berger match of which “The peoples Elephant won 2-0. The 1st goal coming in the 50 minute by Nwogu  assisted by Emeka Nwanna “AYAYA”. The 2nd goal via a penalty in the 88’, which was score by Bob Osim to raise the tally by 2-0.

Gazzy (Isuochi, Abia State.)
With the great number of reputable, talented players already under parade by the Poeples Elephant of Aba, going for more players whether foreign or local is a waste of money and time.Even their poor run presently in the league is not a problem of players, rather that of indiscipline and poor technical know-how on the part of Urukalo et al.
So, i condemn in its entirety, the action of the Anyansi-Agwu led management to buy more players for the already star studded team.
