Akpokona Promise to Lift CAF Cup

The chief coach of Rangers International FC of Enugu, Lawrence Akpokona has promise to put a smile in the face of Enugu Antelope Fans by lifting this season's CAF Cup trophy for state.

Rangers FC lost their chances of winning the trophy by losing out in the semi finals of the competition last season.

In a phone chat with nigeriasports.com, Akpokona disclosed that he would put all his best to break the
jinx that has befallen the team in past years.

According to him, Rangers had every opportunity of winning the cup for the country last year but
unfortunately lost out in the semi final against Ahly of Egypt.

“Last year Rangers had the opportunity of winning the cup but they failed, this time around it’s going to be real, because I will put all my effort to make sure they achieve it this season by the grace of God,” he assured.

Apart from the continental, he also promised that Rangers FC would still maintain their position in the
Globacom Premier League.

“WE are working hard on both the continental and premier league and l know we will make it again this year because it is our year by the grace of God,” he added.
