Borno Handball Resume Training for World Club

The Borno State male and female handball teams have resume training in preparation for the world club championship billed for Demark next month.

The state where dominated by the Handball Federation of Nigeria (HFN) to represent the country in the
tournament after picking the first position in just ended under 18, and 21 competition held in Yobe state
early this year.

Speaking with nigeriasports.com, the chief coach of the Olu Adisa stated that team resumed training
immediately after the just ended national; sports festival to enable them prepare well for the championship.

According to him, they would as well invite few players from Imo and Sokoto to beef up the team for
the trip.

“We are not going use only the players we have now. We are going to invite few once from Imo and Sokoto to beef up the team because we want to go there and come back with a medal by the grace of God,” he said.

He further disclosed that this is the first time Borno state is been sponsring the under aged players to a
competition, saying that it would yield good result at the end.

“This is the first time we are taking under aged players to championship and l hope it will turn out
good for us because we have sponsored the big aged once and we never achieved anything but this time I strongly believe it will okay for us,” he added.
