Bussdor Coach wants Premier League action

Dare Gbolahan, Bussdor's top scorer
Bussdor United Football Club Chief Coach, Walter Inegbenoise is optimistic that his club can maintain the tempo of their lead in the first round of the league up till the end of the season.

The club are leading the first divsion of the Nigeria Professional League after the first round, a situation Coach Walter Inegbenoise says is due to hard work and support from the proprietor of the side, Oscar Igbokwe who has encouraged the players so far.

He supported the club's style of play that has seen them leading the pack at the end of fifteen games even though they dont seem to play too well in matches.

"It's our own strategy. We call it POMO, which means Position Of Maximum Opportunity. That is what we use."

"If you have been watching our games you will agree with me that most clubs, especially those from Lagos play midfield games but we dont do that. Ours is to destroy and of course spread the ball to our attack so we can get our goals."

Set for second round

As Clubs round up preparations for the second round of the league which starts on wednesday, Bussdor United will not be left out as they have almost concluded negotiations with new players who are joining their fold.

"For goodness sake we need to fortify our team because the second round of the league will be far from easy. Most of the time, we did not have ready made substitutes in the midfield so we really need to beef up in time for the second round."

Leading scorer still out

Leading scorer for Bussdor United Football Club of Port Harcourt, Dare Gbolahan is still out of action following a fracture he sustained just before the end of the first round of the season.

Bussdor Chief Coach, Walter Inegbenoise told nigeriasports.com that Dare would be out for two months following a fracture he got in one of the games.

"Its sad but we would have to do without him for now. Already, we are looking at replacements for him as we continue to prepare for the second round and we know that we would not lose our scoring touch until he returns."

Dare Gbolahan once played for Sharks and Niger Tornadoes and had scored 7 goals in nine matches before injury knocked him out.
