FCT Athletes threatens boycott Nigeriasports.com authoratively gathered that the FCT athletes had earlier turned down the sum of #1,500 [naira] as part of their weekly allowance, a fee agreed by the athletes and their officials. According to some of the athletes they are yet to get any allowance from the organisers who also doubled as the head of FCT’s sports council. LOC secretary, Alim Musa told Nigeriasports.com that speculations of an attempt to frustrate the athletes are not true. “I’m surprised to hear that the athletes are yet to get their allowances” “To be honest, we had problems concerning how much will be paid for the allowances. We agreed on a specific amount which was signed and handed it over to those are in charge of the FCT contingents. “I’m still surprise what is going on there because three people have asked this question this morning but I promise to make sure they are been taking care of,” Musa promised. Musa however promise to treat the FCT athletes like every other contingent in Abuja. “I’m here to attend to problems which I’ve been doing since the office started and I will make sure every states enjoys there stay in FCT,” he assured.
