Edo glitter in gold business

Champions Edo State have been demonstrating they are not in Abuja to give any state no kind of slack as they continue to mine gold at the 14th National Sports Festival, in their determination to retain the title won two years ago on home soil. Third on the table are Delta with 6 gold,12 silver and 6 bronze medals.Bayelsa,Rivers State and Borno all have 2 gold medals each placing fourth,fifth and sixth in that order on the medals chart which shows that only 21 states have won something so far at the 14-day sporting fiesta. The bulk of Edo State medals have come from gymnastics where they won 12 gold out of the available 14.Borno and Plateau States won the other two. Lagos on their part have shown a strong presence in cycling aand swimming, winning three gold so far from each of the sports.
