Plateau Fans Attack Match Official

Plateau State fans today attack the match officials at the Para-Soccer match between Kano and Plateau at the National Sports Complex.

The angry fans rushed the referee with their wheels at the end of the match, which ended 5-3 in favour of Kano.

It took the quick intervention of security operatives to save the life of the referee who refused to disclose his identity. Free for all fight Also at the basketball court, Bauchi and Oyo players went into physical combat at the end of their match where Bauchi thrashed Oyo 52-33.

The players exchanged blows and ignored calls by the match officials. Speaking to Nigeriasports.com, Bauchi state sports commissioner Alhaji Sani Toro condemned the high level of indiscipline by both teams.

He warned his states against such act in future, adding that having won the match, Bauchi players had no reason to react to ugly comments from their opponents who had failed to accept defeat in good faith.

“That is unprofessional and highly indiscipline. We cannot condone such ugly behaviour” Toro told Nigeriasports.com
