Illegal arms in Games Village

Police at alert in Abuja
Alleged presence of fire arms in the camps of Edo and Ebonyi states at the games village is causing panic in the fold of the Local Organising Committee and athletes in Abuja, Nigeriasports.com can report.

Chairman of Media/publicity sub-committee told Nigeriasports.com that the security committee has been alerted on the dangerous development and will swing into action immediately to remedy the situation.

Edo and Ebonyi states are alleged to have arrived Abuja with armed men with no other intention than to intimidate opponents to submission in their quest for unmerited medals.

These men of questionable character are all over the Games Village disrupting the free flow of arrangements in the areas of feeding, accommodation, training and quietness of the official abode for athletes and coaches for the festival.

According to Alhaji Ibrahim Biu, the security sub-committee has been mandated to alert the police and other security agencies on the ugly situation at the Games Village before any unpleasant exchange of hostilities is recorded.

The insentivity of this government will soon compel everybody to be carrying fire arms about: EVERY MAN TO HIMSELF. Imagine is no longer the political class but in the sport arena / game village. Well, i don't blame them they want to RIG their ways too even as we want to get the best that will be representing us in international engagements. This is criminal; the two state should be expelled from the camp and banned.
