LOC resolves feeding problem

The Local Organising Committee of the 14th National Sports Festival on Thursday restored order at the Games Village to prevent the rowdy situation experienced during feeding process on the first day, Nigeriasports.com can authoritatively report.

Led by the scribe, Alhaji Mohammed Alim Musa and the Chairman Feeding and Accommodation Sub- Committee, Mr Henry Osobu, the LOC members undertook a tour of the Games Village, reviewing the feeding arrangement to make the process hitch free.

The move which has been commended by state leaders of delegation saw caterers now attached to individual states for proper monitoring and accountability.

There was commotion on the first day of the festival because the caterers were not properly organised and identified with a particular state.

Besides, athletes did not help matters as they moved from one zone to the other instead of following the direction laid down by the organisers to eat where their meal ticket permits them.

However, under the new arrangement, caterers were not only attached to a particular state, but ordered not to serve anyone not wearing his or her accreditation tag.
