Nwadike, Mbachu head for China

Stella Mbachu
Two of Nigeria’s female national team players, Captain Rita Nwadike and winger, Stella Mbachu left the country, early on Monday morning for a two week trial with Chinese Club, Tiangin Women Football club, Nigeriasports.com reveals.

Chairman of their present club, Larry Eze told nigeriasports.com that officials of the Chinese club wrote to him asking to identify the  players as his, so they can proceed, which he promptly did.

“You know all we wish is the best for our players and if this Chinese club says that I identify them I do not have anything against that.” Larry Eze told nigeriasports.com.

“I only want to make it clear that I have not released them to play for the club, I only identified them like the club officials wanted and if after the trials they make it, they will come for the clearance.”

Both players starred for Rivers Angels sports club who placed fourth in the league last season, with Rita Nwadike emerging joint top scorer with seven goals.

However after the league playoffs last season both were sacked for alleged indiscipline but later recalled to the Rivers Angels fold.
