Falcons depart for England April 20![]() The Super Falcons are billed to trade tackles with the English National female Football team in a friendly encounter on the April 24. Secretary General of the Nigeria Football Association, Taiwo Ogunjobi, told Nigeriasports.com that all logistics have been put in place. The former 3SC of Ibadan sole administrator in an exclusive chat with Nigeriasports.com disclosed that this time there would be no last minute cancellation. "All is well with our team. The girls are in camp and they will be leaving for England on Tuesday for the friendly match with the English Ladies", he revealed. The Ex-Shooting Stars of Ibadan captain also threw more light on the other planned friendly matches for the reigning Africa Women Champions while still in England. "Yes we are still making efforts to see the girls play more matches in England. "We may play Charlton Athletic Ladies if all goes according to plan and the match may hold on Sunday the 26th before the team returns to Nigeria" It would be recalled that both teams clashed in a similar circumstance last year in England in preparation for the 2003 female football world cup in the USA with the Nigerian team triumphing over the hosts by 2 –1. Meanwhile, latest information reaching Nigeriasports.com indicate that the commencement of the 2004 Nigeria female football league has again suffered another postponement. The league earlier billed to start on May 17th has now been shifted to the 28th and this may not be unconnected with the planned hosting of the National Sports festival between the 3rd and 16th of May in Abuja.
