Lobi in confident mood![]() The current FA cup champions who are no strangers to continental football having represented the country in the CAF champions’ league in 2000 are scheduled to trade tackles with Uganda express and according to the club chairman Dominic Iorfa, there is no cause for alarm. "We will not disappoint Nigerians, we will make them happy", he told Nigeriasports.com The match which comes up this weekend is the second round of the merged CAF and cup winners’ cup and according to the Ex-International; Lobi stars are more than prepared for the continent. "Football is black and white, we will take each game as it comes, we are particularly out to shame critics and we fear no foes", he added rhetorically in an exclusive chat with Nigeriasports.com. Lobi coach, Belgian Maurice Cooleman also assured Nigerians on the teams preparedness saying all departments of the team has been worked on. "We have worked on all aspect of the team especially the attack which has been the only area slowing us down. We can only hope for the best at the moment, he concluded. According to Kelechi Okoye, the players are in a high spirit to make sure they registered they names in the good book of Nigerian football. “We are in a high spirit now because every player wants to make name and by the time we come back with a point Nigerians will start having regards for us and the team as well,” Okoye said. Former Iwuanyanwu FC player disclosed that with the calibre of players that make up the team list that they will not disappoint the nation. “Most of the players Lobi signed for this competition are experienced players. Most of us have played in theChampions league before while most just came back from trials aboard. Having us together as a team I believe we will play well and go far in the championship,” he said. Sounding confident former Enyimba FC hit man Emma Isah confirmed that his presence in Lobi FC would yield good result in the CAF competition. “I joined Lobi for good and I believe my presence in the team will bring good result at the end,” Isah said. The players that departed with the officials includes, national U-23 Goalkeeper John Gaadi, Sanni Haliru. Both clubs recorded impressive results in their respective league ties before jetting out of the country as Lobi stars defeated hard fighting Enyimba football club 1-0 in Makurdi while Rangers International secured a 1-1away draw in Minna against Niger Tornadoes.
