Iorfa slams Uwua

Chairman of Lobi stars football club, Dominic Iorfa during the week finally broke his silence on the lingering controversy between Lobi Stars on one hand and Godwin Uwua on the other hand as regards unpaid bonuses and allowances totalling up to -N-2million saying the coach is only a gold digger.

According to the Ex-International, Lobi stars do not owe Godwin Uwua any kobo. "I am a chairman, am not a coach, there is a difference between management and coaching but I am ready to go to court. I will invite you press men and we will know who is guilty. I will even put -N-1million aside for whoever wins as side betting. Honestly he has no case."

When further asked to put the nail on the coffin as to whether the coach is being owed any money at all, the tall former centre forward continued, spitting fire. "Look if any of you here does not have enough money, am ready to support you to come to court. We will settle the whole thing there. I can’t begin to talk over money issues here".

Conclusively, the football administrator sounded out a note of warning to the FA cup winning coach asking him to stop insulting his state governor.

"Uwua should stop bringing in Akume into this matter. He has no respect at all; he only has respect for money. I didn’t sack him, he left on his own. He should face the task at hand over there in Benin and justify the huge amount he is being paid. He just must leave us alone.

Meanwhile, Dominic Iorfa also seized the oppourtunity to praise the referees who handled the game between his side and Shooting stars football club at Ibadan last Wednesday stating how he would have wished to have the same officials all season long.

"If officiating were like this everywhere, I will have no problem with them. Apart from the 80’s and early 90’s, officiating has never been this good. Football will progress in this country if we keep having this set of officials."

I suppose a manager should be able to know if salaries of employees are paid or not.I therefore advised that Dominic should quit play games over this matter. If you don't pay your worker his wages, you are gradually dragging him to his grave.
