Amodu blames poor marksmanship again

Sharks Technical Manager, Amodu and Chief Coach Ogbeide
Technical Manager of Sharks Football Club of Port Harcourt, Amodu Shaibu says poor marksmanship is the reason why his side could not beat First Bank in Lagos last Thursday.

Ahead of Sunday’s clash in Port Harcourt against fellow Port Harcourt based Bussdor, Amodu told nigeriasports.com that Sharks would have beaten First Bank in Lagos if not that for the flurry of missed chances by his attackers.

“Agreed we are still in a learning process, but we created so many chances and fluffed them all. Yes, we are still fourth on the table, but if we continue the way we are going we would be at the top pretty soon, and then there will be no stopping us.”

Sharks, relegated at the end of last season have been given a mandate by the Rivers State Government to make an immediate return to the Premier League.

The club received about three hundred million naira (about $2m) from the Rivers State Government to prosecute the 2004 football season.

Hi,
this message goes to the nigeriasports.com staffers responsible for updating the information in the website.
I must acknowledge that you guys are doing a very wonderful job. Please kep it up.
It is Tuesday today, the 24th of August 2004, and the latest news about Sharks of port Harcourt is that of the 3rd of April, 2004.
Please, do the best you can to update the information.
In any case, I would love to know more about Sharks' position in the league, and their chances of gaining promotion, back to the elite league.
Thanks.
