Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC) has thrown its weight behind the Super Falcon, as they are ready to support every activity that would lead the team to victory in the Athens 2004 Games.
The team defeated Bayana Bayana of South Africa 1-0 in the final match of the Olympic qualifier played in Abuja last Tuesday to pick theOlympic ticket.

He said there is no doubt that the victory is a consolation to Nigeria sports lovers, coming barely

“The loss of the Dream team is lesson for us against the future, to ensure that all matches are taken on a very serious note, knowing fully well that each point would eventually count at the crucial moment of
decision,” he said. He disclosed that NOC would work in hand with Nigeria Football Association (NFA) to make the team had a good preparation towards the Athens Games. “NOC will work in hand with NFA to make sure the necessary machinery are in place to ensure adequate preparation of the team for the Olympic Games,” he noted.
