Labro battles De Climax for LDFA/ Boska Cup
The 2nd edition of Lagos Divisional Football Association (LDFA)/ Orange Drugs Limited BOSKA Cup football championship has put up for grab various gift items worth thousands of naira during the final of the championship slated for Saturday, August 16, 2008 at Onikan Stadium.
The final will be between Labro Football Club who sees off the challenge poised by Police Machine Football Club in the semi-final by 2-0 against De Climax Football Club who defeated I.K Watford by 11-10 via penalty in the semi-final to set up the stage against Labro in the final Saturday at the Onikan Stadium, Lagos. According to the Chairman, LDFA, Dotun Coker who disclosed that the gate would be thrown open free of charge for the fans said that there will be raffle draws for all participating teams and spectators during which various prizes would be won. The star prize as Coker said while speaking at the National Stadium, Thursday are; 2 Flat Screen LCDs. Other prizes are; 3 generating sets, 4 standing fans and 2 DVD players. Consolation prizes to be won include T-Shirts, Pen and Face caps. Speaking further, Coker informed that the idea was to support a new down in corporate partnership that will help in the development of grassroot football in which his association is known for and also to encourage many more corporate companies participate in the sponsorship of grassroot oriented football programme. He however assured fans of good football and hitch free programme saying “all necessary logistics that will make the finals a memorable one has been put in place. Prizes are also for highest goal scorer, best coach and best behaved team of the tournament. 0
