LDFA/ Boska Cup: De Climax, I.K Watford thru to la
The 2008 edition of the Lagos Divisional Football Association/ Boska soccer competition enter its crucial stage Monday with two teams (De-Climax football club and I.K Watford football club) booking a place in the semi-finals.
In the two quarter-finals matches decided Monday at the Onikan Stadium, Lagos, De-Climax Fc defeated Abro Sechi football club 5-3 via penalty shoot-out after both side ended the regular time one goal apiece while I.K. Watford fc had the better of Lucky Babes football club by 4-3. The I.K. Watford versus Lucky Babes encounter was also decided via penalty after both side failed to seal victory at regulation time. The remaining quarter-finals matches will be decided Tuesday between Alfred United and Labro football club just as the Police Machine football club battles Kush football club in the other quarter-final match of the day. LDFA Chairman, Dotun Coker says the competition which ends on Saturday have lived up to expectation. Coker praised the effort of Orange Drugs Limited marketers of BOSKA brand in Nigeria for identifying with the competition and for providing avenue for the state teeming youth to express their talents through the competition. The LDFA top-shot promised that the next edition in 2009 will be bigger as more teams have expressed interest to be part of the competition. 0
