The Nigeria U-23 side, kicked off their campain at the 29th Olympiad with a 0-0 scoreline against the Netherlands.

The match, obviously the star match of the group lived up to the pre- match billing as both sides put up a great display all 90 minutes long.

Rusten Drenthe was the star for the Netherlands as his incisive passes and runs became a nightmare for the nigeria defence line.

Osaze Odemnwegie was the tormentor in chief for the dream team while the likes of Obinna Nsofor and substitutes Chinedu Obasi and Victor Anichebe also contributed their quota.

The USA courtesy of a 1-0 victory over Japan are now the group leaders while the next round of matches in the group takes place on Sunday.
