Boska Cup: De-Climax sackss Adejumo FC

The second edition of Boska/ Lagos State Divisional Football Association (LDFA) football championship recorded its major upset Monday.

In the championship sponsored by Orange Drugs Limited marketers of Boska in Nigeria, Adejumo Babes FC, which played in the semifinal stage of the championship last year, became the first major casualty when it lost to lowly rated De-Climax FC at the Onikan Stadium.

Scoreline stood at 1-1 at the end of regulation time but the resultant penalty shoot-out saw Adejumo FC crashing out.

The result dazed many of the spectators that had thronged the stadium to watch Adejumo Babes repeat its last year's performance, which won it a good number of followers.

Meanwhile, today at Abalti Barracks playground, Junior Millian will square up against Young Stars while African Talents take on Babs FC and Lagoon FC will fight for a place in the round of 32 against Fellers FC on Friday.

Technical Director of the championship, Yomi Peters, said the tourney was gradually gathering momentum, adding that more surprise results would be churned out as the tourney progresses.

Results of matches played Tuesday

Mighty Stars 4-1 Flying Dove

ICO FC 1-0 Damilola Taylor

United Boys 3-1 Ultimte United

LSDPC 1-0 Corner Stone

Young Dynamic 2-0 Olukoya FC
