Flying Eagles draw Sudan

The Nigeria national U-20 team, the Flying Eagles are to face the boys from Sudan in the next round of the Africa youth championship qualifiers.

The Nigeria side overcame Senegal 0-1 at away to go through on 3-0 aggregate while Sudan had to rely on penalties to eliminate Kenya after winning at home 1-0 the same scoreline with which Kenya won the first leg.

The Flying Eagles scored the only goal of the game in the 37th minute of the first half through team captain, Lukmon Haruna.

The next round of qualifiers which is actually the last in the series before the AYC in Rwanda by January is to be played in September.

The next U-20 world cup takes place in Egypt in 2009.
