NFA parleys Supporters club

The Nigeria football and other sports supporters club today in Monastir, Tunisia became $1,000 richer courtesy the Nigerian Football Association (NFA).

The money, presented in cheque to the president of the association, Rafiu Ladipo by the NFA chairman, Ibrahim Galadima is to show gratitude for the support the team has received from the group.
  
 "This is a token of appreciation from us to you" enthused the FA chairman who described further the group as the number one fans of the national team having left their respective work place, business, family and private life to ensure a resounding campaign at the ongoing Africa cup of nations.
  
The Kano state born administrator did not fail to recognize the goodwill of Globacom and IGI which donated 10-million and half a million naira respectively to the group, thanking them for their donation which ensured that the supporters club made it to Tunisia, having hitherto been threatened with lack of funds. The supporters it will be recalled missed the Eagles first match against Morocco but were on hand to cheer the team to victory in the 2nd match against South Africa.
 
Also present at the cheque presentation which took place at hotel Palmieres, the supporters club hotel here in Monastir,Tunisia, were Gabriel Chukuma, Onje Gye-Wado,Adamu Jumba all members of the NFA board,Taiwo Ogunjobi,the FA secretary General and CSP Akinsola, the Eagles camp commandant.

 Rafiu Ladipo on behalf of the supporters club thanked the FA for their kind gesture while reaffirming the groups resolves to continue to cheer the Eagles all the way to the final.
