Bayelsa State Government Friday appointed Hally Sports International Limited (HSI), a Sports Marketing Communications Company based in Lagos to handle the marketing business of the state owned football club, Bayelsa United Football Club.

This is coming on the heels of the Club’s qualification for the CAF Confederations Cup, the first in the history of the State-owned club.  To this end, the state is not leaving any thing to chances to ensure that the club has a good run in the competition.

HSI will lend its professional experience in driving the South-South club. Above all, HSI will ensure that the club achieve stronger image, higher visibility while raising it market value.

The MD/CEO of HSI, Godwin-Spiff Sagbamah said he was indeed grateful to God and that the appointment was in recognition of HSI’s consistent commitment to professional excellence. According to him, this has been the driving force, and it is beginning to yield positive results.

He said, “It’s the dream of any club to win continental competition after a blazon national league run. Our job is to galvanize the support of Nigerians especially Bayelsans as the club prepares to battle with some of the best clubs in Africa.

More so competing at the continental stage means more money. Our job is to tap all available means to generate funds for the club. With God on our side, this will be achieved”.

Congratulating the HSI crew, Dr. Peter Singabele, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Sports in Bayelsa State says there are more things to come in terms of sports for the young state of Bayelsa. Spiff-Sagbamah equally praised Bari Bote, Chairman of Bayelsa United for qualifying the young state’s team for the continent's biggest club soccer fiesta and still in the race for this year’s FA Cup.
