Bafana touchdown Friday

Officials of the South African Football Association (SAFA) have finally declared that the country’s delegation to Sunday’s 2010 World Cup qualifier against the Super Eagles will arrive in Abuja on Friday. Other details were not revealed but the Nigeria Football Association, NFA has learnt that the team will arrive early enough to have a first feel of the National Stadium, Abuja on Friday evening.

Already, the NFA has made arrangements for the 2010 World Cup hosts to be camped at the Sheraton Hotel and Towers, Abuja .

Nigeria and South Africa have not clashed in a competitive game since the Eagles triumphed 4-0 in a Group D match at the 24th African Cup of Nations in Monastir , Tunisia in February 2004, with two of the goals scored by Osaze Odemwingie.
