Live reports from Tunisia

Man to watch,Siyabonga Nomvete
For the Super Eagles to get maximum three points against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa one player must be stopped and he is no other than,Siyabonga Nomvete.

A close observation by www.nigeriasports.com at the team’s training ground revealed that the entire South African game revolves around the player who missed a penalty but netted twice against Benin, in their opening game last Tuesday.

Interestingly, the duo of Sibusiso Zuma and John Moshoeu is expected to make all the runs for the striker to execute, if the pattern of play in training is anything to go by.

The decision of Coach Chukwu to put the Eagles in a ‘close training camp’ ahead of the South Africa game has come under huge criticism by the foreign media here in Tunisia.

According to Manteka Ramazani, a photo journalist from Democratic Republic of Congo insists the coach has goofed taken such a decision.

In his opinion, he says "I think that is a stupid comment as the opinion of the journalists and press as a whole matters a lot to help his assessment of the players and oppositions"

The Nigeria Football Supporters club is planning a massive support for the Eagles in Saturday’s game against South Africa in Monastir.

President General of the Association, Raufu Ladipo says the club will deafen the ears of the South African players on Saturday with their drums.

"We would have made a huge difference last Tuesday against Morocco but we had flight problems and that deprived the team of our support" he told www.nigeriasports.com

Stressing that the Eagles will fly under the storm of Monastir.

Contrary to criticism that surrounds the Super Eagles loss against Morocco, Sports Minister Musa Muhammed exonerated Coach Christian Chukwu from any blame over Eagle’s loss.

Speaking with the media here including www.nigeriasports.com, the minister sounded more philosophical.

"No one under the NFA consider the loss as a personal one on the part of the coaching crew but as a collective loss of a nation and team" he explained.

He added: "I think that the team Chukwu presented for the match against Morocco is the best that the country can present at the moment.

"It was unfortunate that we lost, but in football sometimes you win and sometimes you lose.

"I think that if Chukwu and the players are given a bit of a push, we will be alright in the next two games", Mohammed said.

The mood of Nigerian students here in Tunisia is that of disappointments and fury.

The handful of the teenagers here explained to www.nigeriasports.com that Tunisians are making a mockery of them over the loss to Morocco.

Tajudeen Adetohunwa confessed that unless the team beats South Africa silly on Saturday, the jeers will continue to haunt them amongst their Tunisian peers.

KIZONZO (U.S.A)
The loss on TUESDAY was a National one. I had to go to work late over here and i wasn't too impressed. Good thing is that nobody is blaming the coaching crew, let's just pray for the team and give them all our support. I'm sure if we play well on saturday, we shall fly over South Africa.

It is no longer news that our Darling EAGLES lost their match.
What is news to me is that the N.F.A find no flaw in the coaching crews selection and the obvious lack of technical depth from the bench as bane of our loss that day!
One wonders if football administration in this nation of ours is not the proverbial case of the deaf leading the blind!
May South Africa be kind to us on saturday!
