The general Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye has deeclared a day of prayer and fasting for Nigeria sports and especially for Team Nigeria at the forthcoming Beijing 2008 Olympics.

According to him, the initiative was aimed at assisting the country’s sports men spiritually in this Olympics year.
“The Pastor (Adeboye) thought it wise to pray for the steady growth of our sport in this country since sports remain the only unifying factor in this country. So there is the need to support theses athletes who brings joy to us with prayers”, Bankole noted.
The director of Brazilian Soccer School (BSS) Nigeria, also revealed that ex-internationals, ex- Olympians and other sports enthuasiasts in the country were invited to join the man of God in the night out programme aimed to change the face of sports in Nigeria.
