Reigning Nigeria Women league champion First Bank basketball club and runner-up, Dolphins basketball club began their quest for glory at the 2007/2008 season of the Zenith Bank Women Premier league on a good note Friday.
First Bank coached by former Nigeria Women National team assistant coach, Adewumi Aderemi defeated new entrant FCT Queens basketball club by 85-30 while Dolphins handled by its proprietor, Wale Aboderin posted a staggering 82-19 victory over another new comer Plateau Rocks of Jos. Scott Nnaji tutored Nigeria Customs Women basketball club had the better of Amazons basketball club in the last game played Friday at the Sports Hall of the Abuja National Stadium with a 43-32 points win.
