Bayelsa want premier league action

The Bayelsa State Sports Commissioner Ebitimi Amgbare says Bayelsa United is poised to gain promotion to the premiership next season.

Amgbare told www.nigeriaaports.com from Yenagoa that the total reorganization currently going on in the club, Bayelsa United will be the envy of other clubs in the league next season.

He assured that the mistakes of last year would not be repeated.

“Our financial problem of last season has been sorted out and we have got new players to beef up the team. Our aspirations are very high and we are sure that we would sail smoothly into the Premiership.”

He said a board will be reconstituted very soon but that for now, the Sports ministry in the state is running the affairs of the club.
