Ivy League: St Gregory lose home game

St Gregory College, Obalende could not find its rhythm in the 2008 Ivy League for Private Secondary (High) Schools in Lagos losing by 29-27 points to Belina College on home court last Friday.

The missionary school renowned for its football and cricket prowess could not find its bearing in the slamming and dunking game.

America International School girls also suffered a 34-11 point’s defeat to Lagoon College while its boys recorded a 34-17 point’s win over Whitesand College.

Vivian Fowler playing before her home fans defeated Avi Cenna International School by 17-05 points in the girl’s category just as the girls from Lebanese Community School white-wash Top Grade by 19-01.

The Dare Borokini coached Lebanese male team also recorded a 24-17 point’s victory over the boys from Top Grade while Ibrahim Bukur tutored girls from Holy Child College; Ikoyi defeated Belina College by 20-04 points.

Action continues Monday with matches in various centers across the Lagos metropolis.
