Ogunbiyi arrives for Nigeria

Benin Republic International midfielder, Muri Ogunbiyi arrived Ghana Monday night just as his team were being beaten 0-1 by Mali in one of group B's opening round of matches.

The Etoile du Sahel player arrived Accra midnight Monday and promptly checked into an hotel before embarking on the four hours journey to Sekondi to team up with the rest of the squad members.

"I didnt make the training tour to Brazil as a result of administrative blunders.I am sad we lost to Mali and I am more disappointed in not making it on time to be a part of the team. I am however happy all has been resolved and I am in a hurry to join the squad, he revealed exclusively to nigeriasports.com.

The two time CAF champions league winner with Enyimba of Nigeria and Etoile du Sahel of Tunisia play maker however vowed to give his all in the two remaining matches.

"It is going to be a hell of a time for Coted'Ivoire and Nigeria in the remaining matches because I am ready to give my all and I am sure my team mates will do likewise", Ogunbiyi declared.

Benin Republic take on CoteD'Ivoire in the first game on Friday while Nigeria play Mali in the second make or break encounter of group B.
