Eagles miss Adenuga’s jumbo cash
Defeat by the Elephants in Sekondi on Monday evening did not only cost Nigeria three precious points at the 26th African Cup of Nations, but also cost them some good cash that was on the cards. Globacom Chairman, Mike Adenuga was ready to fly to Sekondi to personally present the money to the players and technical officials on Monday afternoon, but the billionaire was advised against this, as it would have constituted some distraction on match day.
Otunba Adenuga decided to wait for the following day to do the presentation but again, he was advised against it after the loss to the Ivorians.
“The chairman will do the presentation another day. We want them to have full concentration before the next match which they must win,” a source told nigeriasports.com
