Lulu congratulates Adamu on National Award

Chairman of the Nigeria Football Association, Sani Lulu Abdullahi, Friday congratulated the Director General of the National Sports Commission, Dr. Amos Adamu for being listed for the Member of the Federal Republic (MFR) national award for this year, by the Federal Government.

"Surely, this is another feather in your very glittering cap, and we at the NFA felicitate with you because a National Award is the highest that any individual can aspire to in his lifetime, the NFA boss letter reads.

"Your emergence as one of the 211 persons from a list of 981 persons recommended to the National Awards Committees is a testimony of your virtues of patriotism, diligence, humility, dedication, discipline and selflessness.

"Your elevation has come at the right time that you are looking to higher international honours, and our prayer is that this Award will challenge you to persevere as you aim to put Nigeria on the front burner in international sports politics", declared Lulu.

Adamu, who turns 55 on New Year’s eve, is perhaps Nigeria’s most accomplished sports administrator in history, having served at different times as Sole Administrator of the NFA, Director of Sports in the Ministry of Youth and Sports and Chief organizer of the 8th All-Africa Games in 2003, and now Member of the Executive Committees of FIFA and CAF, and Director General of the National Sports Commission.
