No Change in Malaga camp - NFA

The Nigeria Football Association made it clear on Friday evening that there is no proposed change to the Super Eagles’ camping for the 26th African Nations Cup finals, as the venue remains Malaga, Spain.

Secretary General, Bolaji Ojo-Oba said in Lagos that a report in a section of the media that the NFA had moved the camp because of weather concerns was incorrect.

"There was no time anyone in the NFA spoke to any media representative about changing the Malaga camp. It is the figment of the imagination of the reporter.

The Chairman and myself spoke to the Head Coach, Berti Vogts this afternoon and he is already preparing to leave for Malaga.

"We have sent invitation letters to all the players invited for the camping, have paid for the camp site and concluded all arrangements for the delegation from here to leave for Spain on Wednesday, 2nd January.

"We are very focused and will not be distracted by such false reports".

FA Deputy Secretary- General (technical), Dr. Emmanuel Ikpeme, who was quoted in the report, was categorical about never giving such information to anyone.

"I am disturbed. It is a shame that anyone will go out with such a report. I never told anyone about any change in the Malaga camp. I feel bad that people can say such things".
