Angolan forward, Joaquim Brandao Gomes was Saturday night voted as the 24th FIBA Africa Championship Most valuable Player (MVP) taking over from compatriot Cipriano Olimpio who won the mvp title in 2005.
The 27-year forward was voted by a coaches and jounalists for distinguishing himself in the Angolan team by playing major
role enroute his country retaining the African title for a record five times back-back.
Gomes was also voted as one of the top-five players of the championship.
