Nigeria organizes concert to kick start the Abuja
The Federal Capital City of Abuja Nigeria, will once again July 13 2007, glow like never before as she hosts the nation in a musical concert as a part of her quest to commence the awareness for the 2014 commonwealth games bid.
The concert would roll off at the International Conference Center (ICC), Abuja, one of the venues to host boxing during the games if Nigeria wins the bid. “ the choice of the venue is to begin early in drawing attention to it” said Patrick Ukah, marketing consultant of Gazelle Consult, the marketing consulting firm for the 2014 commonwealth games bid. Apart from famous Nigerian musicians and stand up comedians like 2Face Idibia, Stylr Plus, Basket Mouth, and Maliki who will perform at the concert, other side attractions include raffle draws at all stages for those who purchased tickets and would win branded souvenirs from the bid. In addition, the concert is also a potential revenue drive to further showcase the rich tourism potentialities of Nigeria as the train will travel round cities like Calabar, Aba, Enugu, Asaba, Ibadan,b Benin, Kaduna, Jos and Makurdi it is scheduled to end October 12, 2007. 0
