Toriola, Kaffo for Procold Lagos Open
Reigning Commonwealth Men Singles Table Tennis gold medalist, Nigeria's Segun Toriola, will be the centre of attraction when the 1st Procold Lagos Table Tennis Open stroke off on August 1 at the Indoor Hall of the University of Lagos Sports Centre, Akoka, Lagos.
Disclosing this to nigeriasports.com is the Chairman of the Lagos State Table Tennis Association, Barr. Waheed Enitan Oshodi at the fine-tuning stage between the association and the country manager of Procold, Didik Novandi last Monday. The Open according to the LTTA boss will also see other top Nigeria professionals playing alongside their home-base counterparts in a four-day championship. The LTTA chairman gave other professionals lined-up for the Procold Open as Monday Morotoun, Ahmed Kazeem, Africa Women Singles champion, Bose Kaffo among others. Oshodi opined that bringing Professionals for the event will further encourage the home-based ping ponger to greater height in the game Nigeria once ruled the Africa continent like king. Novandi, Procold Country Manager says the parent company Orange Drugs Limited with the support of its partner KALBE will ensure success of the Open. A famile-like carnival is planned for the last day of the championship with various families taking part in competition. Fans who thronged the arena on daily basis will also be carried along as various prizes will be up for grab while popular comendian will act as masters of ceremony - MC. 0
