Ikhana joins Kano Pillars,

Former National U-23 and Kwara United Coach Kadiri Ikhana has finally secured a coaching job with Kano Pillars FC of Kano.

In a phone chat with a board member of the club who pleaded anonymous, disclosed to nigeiasports.com that Ikhana was interview by the club chairman Tukari Babangida and few other members of the board concerning the job.

He confirmed that among the three coaches invited for the interview, Ikhana was the only person that shown interests in taking the job while the other two
coaches did not turn up for their personal reasons.

"We want to start this season with good result, and that is why we went for the best coach in the country, initially, we invited Lucky from Heartland FC of
Owerri, Lawrence Akpokona former Rangers Coach and Kadiri Ikhana former Kwara United coach but at the end of the day only Ikhana honored the interview and from all indications he is the successful one,"  

He maintained that the state management has set aside a huge amount of money to enable the club prepare and pick a continental ticket come next season.
"We don't want to wait for anyone because time waits for no body, the earlier we start our preparation the better for us. The State Government has released fund for the club's preparation for the next season and we will soon kick off, we want to make sure everything is well organized before the season starts",

Meanwhile the coach Ikhana is expected to  resume full training with club by the end of this month [ June ] while players screening kicks off immediately.
