Eagles land in Niger

The Nigerian national team, The super Eagles Saturday afternoon arrived Niamey, the capital of Niger for the important nations cup qualifier billed for Sunday.

The match a crucial Ghana 2008 nations cup qualifier is expected to be fiercely contested as the Super Eagles need maximum 3 points to get their qualification quest back on track.

The Berti vogts tutored Nigerian side arrived Niamey aboard a Chachangi chattered aircraft in a contingent which also includes politicians, FA members and journalists.

Dropped from the side were the duo of Mutiu Adegoke and Chukwuma Akabueze, both a part of the losing team to the cranes of Uganda.

The match takes place at 4pm local time Sunday and the result of the match will go a long way in determining who picks the group ticket with Uganda playing away to Lesotho on same day.
