The Elephants who were one goal down after Garba Manu put Gombe United ahead in the first half had cause to smile when Junior Osagie converted a passed into what became the equalizing goal thus giving the two time African Champions their fourth league title. The Belgian born coach of Enyimba International, Maurice Cooreman, who has also won the Super Four Championship with Ocean Boys last session was full of smiles as he commended his boys for achieving the enviable feat. “ I am happy that my players did not let me down, they all did a great job and I hope they continue with it,” he said. Elated Captain of the Aba boys, Dele “De Cat” Aiyenugba was not left out in the teams victory as he said, ‘we came out tops because we really worked hard for it”. He went further to tell Nigerians that Enyimba have learnt their lesions from its poor performance in last sessions CAF Champions League, promising Nigerians that they will do their best to get the prestigious CAF trophy back to Nigeria. Former Enyimba’s Coach, Okey Emordi who left the stadium a sad and disappointed man over his team’s (Rangers International FC) poor performance at the just concluded Globacom Super Four play off said, he never expected his players to perform so badly after all they did during the regular season.
