GLOBACOM PROMISES SUSTAINED SUPPORT

Title sponsor of the Nigeria league, Globacom has promised that the company will continue to support the development of not only the Nigerian league but Nigerian football in general Speaking at the Super Four draws ceremony at the c ompany,s headquarters, the head of Human Relations, Mr. Sangowiwa said the aim of Globacom "is to contribute to raising the standard of football in the country."

On the current Super four play-offs, the company announced that in addition to providing two air conditioned buses to convey the teams to anmd fro match venues supporters and football fans generally would also get additional benefits for attending the games. He announced that the tel4ecommunications giant would be giving out 500 jerseys to spectators on daily basis besides providing same for all the supporters groups of the participating clubs.

In appreciation of the supports from Globacom, NFL chairman, Oyuki Obaseki said the company has gone the extra mile to promote football in Nigeria and thganked them for lioving up to the challenges. "We have not had any financial contraints. We are on ground and we are very solid, thanks to Globacom."
