Anyansi and Owumi settle differences

Sole Administrator of Enyimba football club of Aba, Felix Anyansi Agwu says there is no rift between himself and the Chief Executive Ofiicer of Rangers International, Davidson Owumi.

Anyansi told www.nigeriasports.com that though they had some misunderstanding during the course of the last season, all that was now behind them as they look to working together to develop Nigerian football.

“We are now best of friends in the interest of sports development. We have a beautiful relationship,” Anyansi said.

“In fact a lot of things have been said about the two of us but we have thought over it as mature people and in the interest of sports development in the country we have buried the hatchet and we will do our best to work together.”

Anyansi said both himself and Davidson Owumi have made up and are now best of friends.

Just as the Enyimba and Rangers team dominated the headlines during last football season, close watchers of the league did not lose sight of the cold war between the managers of both clubs, Felix Anyansi Agwu and Davidson Owumi.

The quarrel which lasted all through the season came to a head when Owumi accused the Enyimba team of a sell out to Berger at the Enyimba Stadium where the Bridge Boys ran away with a lone goal victory.

It was alleged that Anyansi gave the match to Berger to fulfil his promise to Owumi that he would make sure Rangers do not play in the Champions League.
