Rangers Battle ready for Super 4
Rangers International Football Club of Enugu has lined up a series of warm up friendlilies to prepare the team ahead of the Super Four championship billed for the newly commissioned Ultra modern Teslim Balogu Stadium, Lagos next week.
This weekend they would be engaging the Heartland football of Owerri at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium Enugu, with other games lined up against Insurance, Igbino FC and Arugo FC . In an interview with nigeriasports.com yesterday in Enugu, the T.A of the club Okay Emeordi, exclusively confirmed that their match against heartland would go a long way for the team's preparation towards to forth coming event. According to him, Rangers International would not only play against heartland but Igbino FC of Benin, Arugo FC, and Insurance before leaving for Lagos for the action. He further confirmed that player's current form is enough to take the team to the continental level, saying that the competition is not a do or die affair.
He further confirmed that the management of the team has paid up to 70% sign on fees, five months salary and match bonus to boast players moral toward the competition. "As am speaking with you right now, players have been paid all their entitlements, so I did not see what will give them cold shoulder, their morals are high not and they are willing and ready, this weekend match will as well serve as a tune-up on them. "The new Governor of the state, Governor Sullivan Chime will be in Lagos for the first time to cheer the team and to keep the promises he made to them, so I don't know what will make them not to meet their fulfillment this time" he noted. Reacting on the group stage of the FA cup where Rangers International was grouped alongside Enyimba FC, Emeordi stated that their match against them in the Super four will determine their next step to F.A Challenge Cup group stage.
