Akide arrives Falcons camp Mercy Akide is the only foreign-based player to join the team who have been camped in Ibadan for about seven days. Chief Coach of Nigeria’s female National team, Ismaila Mabo says twelve players will be dropped on Tuesday as he prunes the list of players in camp to a more manageable size. “I will send a list to the NFA on Tuesday morning of about twelve players to be dropped. That will leave the number more manageable for me to focus on teamwork, tactics and match plans. At least the players retained will be about all I need for the game against Ghana.” Coach Mabo told www.nigeriasports.com that his team might play a friendly match against a Lagos selected female side on Saturday even though plans were still being worked out by the NFA as regards transportation from Ibadan to Lagos for the match. On the foreign-based players invited for the match, the elderly coach said with only Mercy Akide showing up, he may have to prosecute the match with what he has on ground. 0
