Anyansi Agwu clears air on car gifts

Vincent Enyeama
Sole Administrator of Enyimba Football Club, Felix Anyansi Agwu has cleared the air on car gifts promised to Enyimba players.

The Club registered thirty players for the champions’ league and with State Governor, Orji Uzor Kalu providing just twenty-six KIA cars for players and officials there was a lot of confusion over how the car largesse will be shared.

Anyansi Agwu told www.nigeriasports.com that the club initially wanted to give out cars to just the eighteen players who dressed for the final match.

“The players will get their cars, so I don’t think there is much to say about that,” Anyansi said.

“Even FIFA says just eighteen players and seven officials, and that’s how proceeds are being shared all over the world, but our governor has a listening heart and we have appealed to him so the twenty two players who featured prominently in the Champions league will get cars and a few officials too will be part of the largesse.”

Anyansi Agwu said the delay in receiving the players has been due to the Governors absence from the country. “The governor is on leave and as soon as he gets back the players will receive what is due them”
