Adokiye Amiesimaka hails NFA decision on Sharks

Former Chairman of Sharks Football Club of Port Harcourt, Adokiye Amiesimaka has called on the NFA to continue to make consistency her watch word.

Speaking on the heels of the Associations’ Annual General Meeting, Adokiye Amiesimaka told www.nigeriasports.com that by their action at the AGM, the NFA have  chosen a path of consistency, stressing that a strict adherence to that will make the game of football more exciting in the country.

On the relegation of Sharks, the former Green Eagles winger said it is futile to cry over spilled milk and that he hopes the State will learn from past errors.

“Lets get our acts together and tackle 2004 with hope because such is sports. We went down, and we can always come back to the top”

Sharks supporters pledge loyalty

On their part supporters of the Sharks team say all hands will be on deck to ensure that Sharks quickly return to the elite division.

Speaking through the chairman of the club, Davidson Bobmanuel, the Supporters told www.nigeriasports.com that they have accepted the NFA’s decision in good faith stressing that it would strengthen their resolve to support the team next season.

The team Manager, Sunny Iseokweima was numb- struck at the decision to finally relegate Sharks.

He said he was disappointed by the decision even though he knew all along that the club would be relegated.

“You see, I was just clinging on to hope that some how the board will over turn their earlier decision to relegate four clubs, but as it stands now we just have to sit up and ensure that we return to the premier league soonest”
