14 Strong Men test might on Easter Monday
After an intensive, exhaustive screening session, fourteen strong men have made it to the grand finale of the Strongman Grand Prix contest slated for Easter Monday, 9th April at Ocean Breeze Resort, Alpha Beach, Lagos.
The fourteen lucky Strong men includes Agboifo David, Yawa Jerome Sampayboy, Okafor Onyemaechi, Anthony Umeh, Chuks Chuks, Akujobi Collins, Usuwa Bullet Sunday, ( the current Strongest Man) Shawn Ray Agboola, Izogie Osas, others include ; Olanrewaju Oluwaseun, Chocho John Bosco, Godwin Rapheal Osa, Hussome Femi Adesoye and Chukwuemeka Bossman. To make it to the final the Strong men were taking through several test to prove their strongness some of these routines includes benching of 160kg weight, squatting of 220kg and deadlifting of 220kg to really prove that they are strong. The Strongman Grand Prix is the brainchild of Strongman Sports Ventures, a Sports and Entertainment outfit which promotes the Nigeria Strongestman Challenge as an intense sport designed to celebrate the strong, test strength, abilty, endurance, mental toughness, and discipline of those who claim to be strong. The Nigerian Strongman Grand Prix is intended to be an annual event which will not only give the strongmen in the country the opportunity to celebrate their potentials but an opportunity to be ranked and rated according to their performance in the various challenges. According to the event coordinator Chris Ochonu, the Grand Prix will explore the boundaries of human physical accomplishments and showcase strength in all ramifications, the overall essence is to celebrate the African culture of resilience, endurance, and strength embodied in most African youths who are looking for legitimate avenues to express their strength. Fantastic prizes will be won and the first ten strongmen will gain automatic qualification to the forthcoming Strongestman Challenge event later in the year.
