Mali vow to stop the Indomitable Lionesses![]() Speaking to journalists in Oghara,Mali coach Mustapha Traore said his girls do not fear the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon who they square up to in the final round of group phase matches on Saturday. The Malians were down and rated below DR Congo and after their 0-1 loss to Ghana were demoralised but their surprising 3-2 win over Democratic Republic of Congo at the Oghara Township Stadium on Wednesday lifted the Malian girls to second spot in group B, with three points. Their joy was made complete by Ghana, who defeated Cameroon 2-1 in Ughelli leaving Cameroon with just one point. The coach believed that having achieved that result, the team will be more motivate to do more as they know that a win against Cameroon which is not impossible will see his wards qaulifying to the next round. As such there is no room for fear or a feel of intimidation. " All the teams that qualified for this competition are strong to have come this far. This is a Nations Cup and anything can happen. My team will not be playing with any fear when they take on Cameroon. We came here with a mission, to reach the semi finals and then see how far we can get from there" . "I am happy with the win over DR Congo because my girls worked hard for victory and it came in the end". Goals by Fatoumata Doumbia and Fatoumata Diarra (brace) saw Mali overcome the hard-working Congolese in the 3-2 match. Congo's two goals were scored by skipper Cyrille Zuma and substitute Maluvuidi Mafuta. On Saturday, Mali arrive the Warri Township Stadium to take on Cameroon, while DR Congo are up against Ghana in Ughelli. Both matches start at 4pm. 0
