NTF invites six for Davis cup

The Nigeria Tennis federation (NTF) has announced a list of six players ahead of the Euro-African, zone 4 qualifiers billed for Dakar, Senegal in February.

www.nigeriasports.com gathered that the federation is leaving no stone unturned in picking the all important ticket to the prestigious Davis cup.

The list includes US-based Jonathan Igbinova, Sunday Maku, Toyin Dairo, Candy Idoko, Mumuni Babalola and Sheu Lawal.

According to the Tennis federation, the country will be parading five players in the qualifiers, and one player will have to be dropped consequent to Igbinova’s availability.

Nigeria will be competing alongside, Senegal, San Marino, Kenya, Zambia and Mali.

i want the government to really pump funds into the tennis sector and everything will just be alright in terms of professionalism.
