Uwak threat for Falconets![]() The Finland based winger turned striker who all along was supposed to be the turmentor-in-chief for the Falconets against Finland because of her familiarity with the team, is yet to effectively recover from the knocks she suffered in the last game. "We have no injury worries except for Cynthia who got some knocks from the last match. We have placed her on observation but she is one player if you ask me, I wouldn't want to lose", disclosed Emmanuel Tetteh Okonkwo, the chief coach of the team. "We are very resolute in our quest to qualify for the next round and nothing short of victory is what we are promising Nigerians", he further added. The player, a gold medalist from the women nations cup in South Africa, 2004, is however certifying herself fit to play. "I am OK as you can see. Am going to play today and there is no going back on that. I can't even imagine myself not playing against Finland", she concluded. Striking partner, Tawa Ishola whose absence from the second game was well felt is also on line for a return having resumed some light training ahead of the game. She might however be playing with a knee support as the injury is yet to heal completely. Nigeria needs to win convincingly and await the result from the other group match between China and Canada which is also another group decider. Reports Opatola Adewole, Moscow, Russia. 0
