Nigeria down not out

The Nigerian female U-20 team Sunday lost to their Chinese counterparts 0-3 in the ongoing FIFA U-20 world cup, Russia 2006.

The second group B match had hardly gone underway before the Nigerian team conceeded the opening goal in the 8th minute scored by LOu Xiaoxu.

The Chinese added a second through inspirational captain, Ma Xiaoxu who later became the man of the match.

The Chinese player also added the nail to the coffin by scoring a morale shattering goal in the second half to make it 3-0 against the Nigerians.

The Nigerian team did the playing while the Chinese did the scoring as the total possession play indicated.

The Nigerian team will however have the oppourtunity to reedem theirselves in the last group game schelduled for Wednesday 23rd against Finland.

The Falconets need an outright victory while hoping for a China victory or atleast a draw with Canada in the other group B decider.
